Cycling in Saalbach
Welcome to the cycling paradise of Saalbach Hinterglemm! From beginner to pro, pleasure rider to adrenaline junkie, everyone pushes on the pedals here – on over 400 km of bike routes and trails. Youngsters practice their style in the Learn To Ride Park next to the Kohlmaisbahn, which is just a few minutes' away from the Fürstauer apartments. We, your host family, are passionate about bikes too. So it is entirely logical for us that our guests need a washing area, a lockable bike room and an assembly stand for doing repairs during their cycling holiday. Should you require additional services, everything pertaining to cycling can be found in our bike hire area and school, 'Bikefürst'.
Hiking paradise
How good is your fitness level? An unbelievable 400 km of hiking paths are there waiting to be conquered by you. But watch out! Don't dilly-dally, after all, the setting is breath-taking. There are also quite a few Insta spots here. As you stroll along you will come across panoramic photo opportunities to enjoy at home. Ah, maybe leave yourself a bit of time then! Where else are there such fantastic Alpine dishes than right here in Saalbach Hinterglemm, in the 40 mountain inns? Give everything a go and enjoy sampling. Spend a bit of time planning some genuine summiteering too. You really will have earned this open view across the mountains too. Inner satisfaction rises with every minute on the summit; the peak of happiness.
Family holiday
What makes a family holiday perfect; there are of course many interpretations. In any event, we provide guests staying in the Fürstauer apartments with plenty of space – to play, sleep, enjoy and relax. When the wide range of leisure activities entices you outside, then our guests are right in the middle of the Skicircus, on a hiking path or a bike route.
Leave your car parked up for the duration of your holiday. In summer enjoy the benefits of the Joker Card and its many free services. In winter, while the children are doing a ski course, you get to carve over the pistes. Saalbach has retained its village character: small, lovely and safe. In the tourist sector, the town features in the top ten of the most popular travel destinations in Austria.
A holiday with friends
Out of the daily grind and into fun. Preferable with friends and colleagues – then it definitely will be fun! Our holiday apartments provide space for up to six people while Chalet Bernkogel has space for up to ten; it's as though they were made for a holiday with your friends. Shared adventures are waiting for you.
Whereas in the winter season fun reaches its zenith on the piste, trail, toboggan run or in the many lodges and après-ski bars. The best thing – all of these activities are accessible on foot. Summer too is packed with adrenaline kicks. While cycling, hiking, canyoning, playing golf, archery, fishing or just relaxing together, time literally does fly by.

We are happy to book places with our motivated ski instructors for you. Reserve skis, snowboards and equipment in the Skifürst ski hire area before you get here. We are keen on sport, are family-oriented people, enjoy spending time with our friends and appreciate the power of time-out.
