Then at the next shaded section it is deep blue again. Ski touring expands our senses. We pay attention to nature, the snow and avalanche conditions as well as ourselves. Glemmtal has a wide variety of route lengths and difficulty levels for pros, beginners and pleasure skiers. Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is known far and wide as being a powder snow paradise – an insider tip among freeriders. Special attention is always required in the open terrain – preferably accompanied by a mountain or ski guide – or if you have plenty of experience in your repertoire.
Tobogganing in Saalbach
A whoop of joy echoes towards us, announcing the happy vibes of someone enjoying a tobogganing session. This exuberance is infectious. Little wonder then that the entire tobogganing package at the Spielberghaus toboggan run is fantastic. Head up on the piste groomer shuttle, then enjoy a hearty refreshment stop at the Spielberghaus, finishing with a 3 km toboggan run into the valley; the run even has floodlighting. The best thing is that this toboggan run finishes behind our Fürstauer apartment building. Those of you who are keen on tobogganing have two more runs available in Glemmtal to choose from – 3.2 km of tobogganing fun on the Reiterkogel and from 18:00, there is the 2 km Maisalm toboggan run.

What type are you – summit bagger, lodge hiker family trail explorer, stroller or long-distance hiker? Well, you don't have to decide, since there a wide range of hiking options available in Saalbach. Physically fit and real Alpinists can tackle the SEVEN SUMMITS of Saalbach Hinterglemm. There really is no walk like it!
The pleasure-lovers among you will enjoy feasting from meals, treats and rare dishes in the 40 Alpine lodges and inns. Hurray, the next set of children are running past! - after all hiking, well skipping, laughing and just moving about actually, really is fun – with the right themes on the mountain. And if you just want to walk far, then the Pinzgau walk – spanning 18 km – is just right.
Saalbach bike paradise
No exaggeration – you are in Austria's biggest bike region here. The range is huge and appeals to all kinds of riders: tourers, gravel bikers, E-bikers, downhillers – indeed, even your ordinary road rider and mountain biker will be delighted at the selection available here. You can have a go at all genres here – for instance in the Learn to Ride Park, or along the blue trails.
The best thing to do is hire the right bike at Bikefürst and maybe even book a guide or an instructor. Pros have been meeting up in Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn for years. Easy-going communities have emerged. The cable car adds to the fun, taking you and your bike up to seven summits via nine, state-of-the-art cable cars.
Everything round about
When you grow up in the mountains you automatically are aware of being 'green'. We adore being out and about in nature, pay attention to it and appreciate it. Even more lovely is the fact that the Fürstauer apartment building is in such a central location. So, summer and winter alike, you can leave your car parked up for the duration of your holiday. The loveliest attractions are accessible on foot, by bike, on skis or via the lifts or buses. Get your everyday shopping just while you are out and about. Restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques are located in the centre of town. We also see it as a benefit that our family business is located right in the middle of Saalbach, so everything is a few minutes' walk away: Saalbach – Fürstauer ski school, Skifürst ski hire, Bikefürst bike hire and school, and the new restaurant F29 – from winter 2023/24 on Schulstraße.
